Who is Bubble Punk?

Bubble Punk is an anonymous digital artist focused on the visual language of American decline. Drawing from the advertising and design sensibilities of the 1970s through the 1990s, the work repurposes familiar commercial imagery—catalogs, packaging, signage—into stark reflections of detachment, repetition, and emotional erosion. It’s not a celebration of nostalgia. It’s a postmortem.

The project examines how design once used to sell comfort now signals something vacant and artificial. Bubble Punk uses these materials to confront themes of identity, alienation, and the machinery of culture that keeps moving even when meaning falls away.

The work lives across digital platforms (200k+ followers across Instagram/Meta and 16 Billion+ Views on Giphy), in physical galleries, and in the uneasy space between memory and marketing.
